(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis probationary officer and his wife face charges of running a prostitution ring out of their home in Greenwood.

Police Chief Michael Spears says vice squad officers became suspicious of an ad for an escort service in Nuvo Magazine and launched an investigation. That led them to the home of Jeremy Lee and his wife Lori Vernon-Lee.

A search warrant was issued and police say they found a pattern of prostitution and the promotion of prostitution on the part of the couple.

Also charged is 56-year-old Jerry McCory, a former employee of the Marion County sheriff's department and an official in the administration of former Mayor Bart Peterson. He's accused of patronizing a prostitute.

Jeremy Lee faces a charge of aiding in promoting prostitution and his wife is charged with promoting prostitution. Jeremy Lee is accused of collecting money from escorts while he was in uniform.

Johnson County Prosecutor Lance Hamner announced that arrest warrants were issued for the three.
