Wounded Army Vets Meeting In Indianapolis

(INDIANAPOLIS) - 74 of the U.S. Army’s most severely wounded, injured and ill soldiers are meeting in Indianapolis during the fourth annual Army Wounded Warrior Program.
The soldiers, along with their family members and caregivers, are discussing the most important care issues facing soldiers wounded in the global war on terror. By Friday, they will select the top five issues culled from days of group meetings and present them to the Army brass. The information is used to refine care giving programs and procedures for both active and retired soldiers.
Major General Sean Byrne says the Army is working to coordinate caregiving and benefits from this symposium with other agencies, such as the Veterans Administration.
