City Of Lawrence Declared Disaster Area

(LAWRENCE) - The city of Lawrence is now a disaster area.
The local disaster emergency proclamation was signed late Thursday by Mayor Paul Ricketts.
The order will help the city of Lawrence in getting access to emergency management resources at the local and state levels. That includes recovery efforts and removing storm debris.
A tornado blew through Indianapolis' East Side and Lawrence a week ago.
