(ORLAND) - The town of Orland will pay $5,000 dollars to settle a lawsuit that accused a deputy town marshal of illegally holding a couple as they tried to retrieve personal belongings from their van at a tow yard.
The Orland town council agreed this week to enter into a settlement on behalf of Vaughn Norton --deputy town marshal in the town about 50 miles north of Fort Wayne.
