Grieving Teller, Husband Thank Public For Support
(INDIANAPOLIS) - The couple who lost their unborn twin babies because of a bank robber’s bullet offer gratitude to a supportive public, Methodist Hospital and police investigators.
But in their first meeting with reporters, Jason and Katherin Shuffield question security at the Huntington Bank branch where she worked. The grieving woman says the holdup was the third robbery she has witnessed there since she took the job a year ago.
Katherin Shuffield, a native of Peru, also questions the Indiana law that spares the man who shot her in the stomach a murder charge. The Marion County prosecutor has already proposed changing that law.
