Some Communities May Need To Float Loans Due To Late Taxes
Last updated on Thursday, April 24, 2008
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Some local governments may have to take out loans to make up for tax money that will be delayed due to late property tax bills.
The bills are late this year because most counties have not yet submitted information that the state needs to set the rates.
The Indianapolis Star says some counties are up to nine months late.
