Noblesville Man Rung Up On Fraud Charges
(NOBLESVILLE) - A Noblesville man is accused of stealing money dedicated to the annual cleanup of the White River corridor.
35-year-old Lance Busby was charged Wednesday with taking nearly $112,000 for personal and business use.
Authorities say he manipulated 35 checks drawn on river clean-up to obtain money for himself, his wife, his Scuba Quest retail store and his store's employees. A federal investigation was launched last year after the company president complained to police.
Busby's father -- former Noblesville City Council member Terry Busby -- is not connected to the non-profit or his son's business.
