Indiana Receives Grant To Promote Preventative Care
(UNDATED) - The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s office of Medicaid policy and planning has received a $1.6 million grant from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
The money will be used to fund the state's first emergency room diversion project. It will educate patients about the need for primary healthcare to help reduce emergency room visits.
Indiana's Medicaid recipients have a higher emergency room utilization rate than the national average.
