Free Shredding Offered For Identity Theft Awareness Week
Last updated on Monday, April 21, 2008
(UNDATED) - It is now Crimestoppers Identity Theft Awareness Week.
Local and state officials are asking people to get rid of old documents and things that could compromise someone's identity.
Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter says this is becoming a bigger problem and Hoosiers are being impacted. Community shred day is this Saturday.
Folks can take their old documents to locations around Central Indiana and have them destroyed free of charge.
