Ferdinand Post Office Honors Fallen Vietnam Solider

(FERDINAND) - The post office at Ferdinand will be renamed Monday in honor of the Dubois County community’s only resident killed in the Vietnam War.
More than 500 people are expected to turn out for the ceremony at the Ferdinand Community Center to rename the post office in memory of Army Staff Sgt. David Nord who was killed June 23, 1969.
Democratic Congressman Baron Hill, who sponsored the legislation to rename the building, will be the featured speaker at the ceremony.
