Advocacy Group Says Higher Co-Pays Can Put Screws To Seniors

(UNDATED)- People are starting to get sticker-shock at the pharmacy, as some health insurance companies are changing the way some prescriptions are priced.
Instead of the traditional tiered co-pays, insurers are charging patients a percentage of the actual cost. United Senior Action founder Paul Severance says this could be devastating to Hoosier seniors and the disabled, many of whom are on fixed incomes.
Severance says he hasn't heard of any instances of this happening yet around the state, but he is sure it will happen soon enough.
United Senior Action helps people get access to cheaper prescriptions using a Canadian-based pharmacy.
