With Spring On The Way, Temperatures, Injuries Increase
(UNDATED) - Spring is here and after being inside for the winter, Hoosiers are ready to cure cabin-fever and get outside.
But with the break in the weather also comes a higher risk of injuries.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Sgt. Matthew Mount says motorists have to remember to slow down and watch for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists.
Experts say those on bikes and cycles can increase safety by wearing a helmet, staying visible with bright colors, and using signals when turning.
Lights are also recommended. The best rule of thumb in all situations is to be prepared and aware.
