Lawsuit Could Hault RCA Dome Auction
(INDIANAPOLIS) - A class-action lawsuit has been filed to put a stop to the RCA Dome auction.
Paul Ogden with Roberts and Bishop filed the paperwork Monday morning, just a week after various parts of the Dome went up for bidding.
Ogden says the suit asks for an injunction on the auctions' profits. The money is set to be split between the Colts Foundation and the Indiana Sports Corporation.
Ogden says that money should go back to Marion County taxpayers because the county is still paying the bond debt on the RCA Dome. Ogden says he doesn't have an exact figure, but that debt has been added to the financing for the New Lucas Oil Stadium.
Everything from the Colts' lockers to the turf to the urinals is being auctioned off on buythedome.com.
The Indiana Sports Corporation had no comment. No court date has been set yet.
