Senate Passes Property Tax Bill With 1% Cap
Last updated on Wednesday, February 27, 2008
(STATEHOUSE) - The Indiana Senate has passed the governor’s property tax relief bill, capping taxes at 1% of a home’s value.
Fourteen Democrats voted against the bill, saying it cuts too deeply into local government budgets.
The session deadline to pass a final version is March 14th.
