Original Music Performance Bill Passed By Indiana House
Last updated on Friday, February 29, 2008
(INDIANAPOLIS) - When you pay good money to see ’50s and ’60s groups like The Platters and The Drifters, you’ll see the real thing under a bill approved by the Indiana House.
Under the bill, at least one member of a performing act must have been a member of the recording group and have the legal right to use the name.
Violating the law could result in fines up to $10,000 for each performance.
