170 Hoosier Guard Soliders Headed To Iraq

(DANVILLE) - More Hoosier National Guard soldiers are on the way to Iraq.
The 38th military police company out of Danville left Friday afternoon for training in New Jersey. From there, they'll go to Iraq and help train Iraqi police forces.
The 170-member company is split between Danville and Delphi. More than 4,000 Hoosier National Guard troops are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lieutenant Colonel Deedra Thombleson says the company is performing a vital function as Iraq moves closer to democracy.
The company's deployment will last a year.
