White County Residents Return Home After Gas Leak

(BURNETTSVILLE) - About 100 out of 250 natural gas customers in White County have been reconnected after a six-inch pipe leaked Wednesday.
The pipe is below the flooded Tippecanoe River, downriver from the Norway Dam. NIPSCO officials say the gas leak was stopped late Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, some residents evacuated after flooding along the Tippecanoe River, Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman are now heading back home.
Tippecanoe County Emergency Management Director Mark Kirby says the Wabash River appears to have crested at 22 feet 7 inches.
