Terre Haute's Pfizer To Lay Off 660 Starting In March
Last updated on Tuesday, January 29, 2008
(TERRE HAUTE) - The layoff trend in Southern Indiana continues, as Pfizer has announced it will reduce its staff in Terre Haute by 660 employees.
Officials say the reductions come on the heels of the company's decision to cease production and marketing of Exubera, an inhaled insulin product made in Terre Haute.
The company will continue to employ 140 workers at least through the end of the year. Reductions will begin in March.
