State Police Mourning Loss Of Fellow Trooper

(PERU) - A state trooper has died in a car crash.
A spokesman for the Indiana State Police post at Peru says Trooper Daniel Barrett was killed in a single vehicle crash late Sunday night in Fulton County. The crash happened at US 31 and State Road 110. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barrett was on duty at the time of the crash. The trooper's vehicle hit a tree. State police plan to release more details later today.
The 25-year-old trooper was a 2002 graduate of Logansport High School.
