State Expands Outreach For Domestic Violence Victims

(UNDATED) - The state is expanding an outreach program for domestic violence victims.
The Address Confidentiality Program gives domestic violence victims a secure mailing address that their mail goes through before being forwarded to their real address. That provides an extra layer of security if their attacker tries to locate them.
The state set up the program seven years ago. Now Attorney General Steve Carter's office is working with hospitals and shelters for rape and abuse victims to try to reach more people who need help.
