Mistrial Declared For South Bend Teacher's Aide

(SOUTH BEND) - A mistrial has been declared in the case against a former teacher’s aide in South Bend.
Teresa Getz was accused of sexual misconduct involving one of her eighth grade students.
The case was handed over to the jury Wednesday and jurors spent several hours deliberating, before telling a judge they could not come to an agreement.
Getz admitted the student spent a lot of time at her house, but says he was helping with chores, and playing with her children.
