Indy Health Company Gets Financial Shot In Arm
(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis-based company with a novel approach to cancer research got a boost from Clarian Health’s investment division.
Clarian Health Ventures officially launched Tuesday with a $25-million dollar investment fund.
Matthew Neff heads up the firm and says their goal is to foster health care innovations and economic development throughout Indiana and the Midwest. Their first investment is in CS Keys, a company that helps doctors identify tricky cancers.
Katia Rothhaar, Director of Operations at CS Keys, says if you imagine a tissue sample as a football stadium of blue seats, their biomarker makes a cancer cell appear as a brown seat.
CS Keys was founded by researchers at the IU School of Medicine and will launch their new product in April.
