Flu Season Strikes Hoosier State
(UNDATED) - Flu season continues in Indiana and across the country.
Heather Hughet with Visiting Nurses Association says its not been too bad so far, but there could be an upturn with the recent cold weather. She says less flu shots have been given this year mainly due to the warmer weather that started the season.
Hughet says there are many ways to avoid the flu, including washing hands and sneezing and coughing away from people.
But she adds the best way to avoid the flu is to get the shot. They are available through July.
