Federal Grant Connects Evansville With Health Care Providers

(EVANSVILLE) - A $1.3 million dollar federal grant will help connect Evansville with an network of health care providers that share patient information online.
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration received the grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services. It will be used over two years to connect Evansville with the nonprofit Indiana Health Information Exchange.
The grant aims to align Medicaid goals with an existing health information network. The Vanderburgh County Health Department, St. Marys Medical Center, Deaconess Hospital and the Welborn Clinic will participate in the project.
