Drunk High School Principal Faces Trial In March

(FISHERS) - The Fishers High School principal accused of drunk driving will go to trial in March.
Scott Syverson is charged with two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The suspended principal sparked outrage when he was pulled over the weekend before Christmas.
Syverson was caught on surveillance tape admitting to an officer that he had been drinking. Syverson handed the officer his phone and said he had called a Fishers police captain. Officer Kevin Kobli then drove Syverson home instead of arresting him.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Sonia Leerkamp initiated an investigation and then charged Syverson. Syverson will learn whether he'll lose his job on February 7th.
Syverson has apologized for his actions.
