Daycare Owner Sues Employees For Slander

(NOBLESVILLE) - The owner of a Fishers day-care center is suing four former employees for slander, after they accused her of grabbing, hitting and throwing children at the center.
Prosecutors agreed last year to dismiss all nine felony battery charges against Kimberly Herdrich, as long as she avoided any other trouble for a year. That pretrial diversion period runs out next month.
Herdrich's lawyer speculates the workers misinterpreted something they saw at Little Learner's Day Care.
The lawsuit says the criminal charges forced Herdrich to close on of her two Little Learner's Day Care Centers.
