Accused Face Judge In Quadruple Murder Case
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Five men being held in connection with a quadruple murder in Indianapolis have appeared in court.
Jasper Frazier, Ronald Davis, Donte Hobson, Zarumin Coleman and Tommy Warren have not been formally charged yet.
Prosecutors have filed a 72 hour continuance, which means formal charges must be filed by 3pm Thursday or Frazier, Davis and Hobson will be released. Coleman and Warren are being held on unrelated charges.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Frazier says Davis is the triggerman. Davis and Hobson preliminarily face four counts of murder. Frazier and Coleman face robbery charges. Prosecutors have not commented on what charges Warren might face.
Davis is accused of killing two women and their children as the mothers held the toddlers in their arms.
Marion county prosecutor Carl Brizzi says he will make the decision whether to seek the death penalty after speaking with the victims' families. The mother of one of the victims has already said she doesn't want him to.
