Sheriff Doesn't Sign Contract In Response To Commissioner's Comments
Last updated on Sunday, December 30, 2007
(CRAWFORDSVILLE) - Montgomery County Sheriff Luther Blanton did not sign his 2008 contract to make a point.
Blanton said Friday that he was upset following remarks made by a Montgomery County commissioner that Blanton was getting a 20 percent raise. He maintains the he'll receive a 4 percent raise next year.
The sheriff says he has no problem with the contract, but believes the commissioner is using it as a political ploy.
