Father Of Mumified Son To Face Charges In Michigan
(FORT WAYNE) - The man police believe to be the father of an 18-month-old boy whose mummified body was discovered in a Fort Wayne home has waived extradition to face charges in Michigan.
Police in Port Huron, Mich., issued arrest warrants for 38-year-old John William Gonzales and 23-year-old Ashley Marie Snowden, who are believed to be the parents of Braylon Bishop Gonzales.
Police believe Braylon died in Port Huron in 2005. His body was found wrapped in a plastic bag and placed in a storage container in the home that Gonzales and Snowden shared.
Gonzales appeared in Allen County Superior Court on Thursday and waived extradition to St. Clair County, Mich., where he faces charges of murder, child abuse and being a habitual offender.
Snowden, who already waived extradition, faces a charge of being an accessory after the fact to a felony.
