(PUTNAMVILLE) - A Brazil teenager is dead and a second teenager seriously injured after a 129-mile-an-hour police chase.

State police say 18-year-old Cody Wright of Brazil was already doing 117 when he blew past a trooper on U.S. 40 in Putnamville. He picked up speed during a two-mile chase which ended when Wright sailed off the top of a hill and plunged 20 feet into a ditch.

Police say the car sawed a tree in half on the way down.

17-year-old passenger Brandee Siples was killed.

Troopers say Wright could face charges.
