(INDIANAPOLIS) - Tens of thousands flocked to Monument Circle Friday night for the “Circle Of Lights” festival.

There was a chill in the air....but that didn't deter the faithful from heading downtown to take part in what, for many, is the official kickoff of the holiday season.

They were entertained by Sandi Patti, Ben Utecht of the Colts, Trisha Shepherd from RTV-6 in Indy, The Rosettes and The African Children's Choir.

12-year-old Katlin Dowden of Zionsville threw the switch to turn on the lights and fireworks followed.
