State Police Recruiting With Media Blitz
(UNDATED) - Indiana State Police are taking a new approach to recruiting - a media blitz.
First Sergeant Dave Bursten says they are targeting minorities and women with their advertising campaign. Bursten says the ads have proved to be a good move, with a record number of applications.
Bursten says, in years past, applicants have been tough to come by. Now, state police may end up going over 4,000-plus applications.
Applications for the 69th recruit class are due November 25th. Bursten says they expect to enter about 120 people into the academy in June.
