Trial Begins For Murderer And Hostage Taker

(ELKHART) - Trial proceedings are expected to begin today for Jerry White, who is accused of shooting a man, then kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and their four children and holding them hostage in an Elkhart motel.
The case made headlines after an Amber Alert was triggered during the search for Kimberly Walker and her four children. Police found all five with white in a local hotel room three days later, unhurt.
White faces charges of criminal confinement and attempted murder.
