More Hoosiers To Stay Warm This Winter
Last updated on Saturday, November 17, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana’s heating assistance program has 27-percent more money this year.
The state has set aside 56-million dollars to help needy families pay gas and electric bills through the winter. Most of that money comes from federal funding.
Nipsco, Vectren and Citizens Gas are administering a two-million-dollar fund for people who just miss qualifying for the state program.
