Stroms Close Spencer County Bridge

(SPENCER COUNTY) - Last nights storms caused state police in Jasper to close down the SR-161 bridge in Spencer County that crosses into Owensboro, Kentucky.
The closing, however, was not due to water cresting the bridge span, but because of the suspicion of structural damage due to the storm.
The bridge was closed down until half past midnight this morning as engineers and inspectors checked out the bridge for structural soundness.
