(CROWN POINT) - A Gary man has been sentenced to the maximum 180 years in prison for the murders of his aunt and a cousin and the attempted murder of another cousin.

34-year-old Ronnie Drane was already in prison for the murder and rape of his girlfriend in a Gary park when he was convicted in August for the shooting spree at his aunt's home.

Delores Buchanan and Larry Peaches Jr. died in the October 2002 shootings, while Herman Buchanan survived a gunshot to the face. Herman Buchanan moved to Frankfort, Ky., where authorities say Drane followed him and fatally shot him six months later.

Drane has been indicted on a murder charge in Kentucky for Buchanan's death.
