Vigo County Official Gets House Detention For Stalking
(TERRE HAUTE) - A former Vigo County official has avoided jail time — despite being convicted of felony stalking.
Former deputy director of the Vigo County Emergency Management Agency Donald VanHorn Wednesday was given a three-year suspended sentence and six months of home detention for the crime.
Court officials say the 61-year-old will be monitored using a global positioning system device while he is on home detention.
VanHorn was accused of stalking a man who had done odd jobs for him in the past.
