(AUBURN) - A Dekalb County man has gotten the maximum 65-year sentence for beating a 91-year-old woman to death.
Authorities say Ricky Vires smashed in Novella Tarlton's skull during a break-in to get money to buy alcohol.
He pleaded guilty to murder in exchange for dismissal of burglary and theft charges.
