State Attorney General Warns Against Senior Citizen Scam
Last updated on Thursday, August 23, 2007
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Attorney General Steve Carter is suggesting an issues questionnaire going out to senior citizens may be a scam.
The Council of Seniors mailer is titled "Census of Senior Citizens." It asks for positions on issues from health care to taxes, then includes a box to list your credit-card information to make a donation.
Carter accuses the organization of trying to fool seniors into thinking the mailing is from the U.S. Census Bureau.
