Man Arrested After Staging Tree-Sitting

(UNDATED) - A California man was arrested Monday after staging a tree-sit Monday aimed at stopping a logging operation in Morgan-Monroe state forest.
25-year-old Shawn Putnam faces charges of criminal trespass. "Friends of Morgan-Monroe and Earth First" said the tree was in an area where logging is scheduled to take place on steep slopes, resulting in soil erosion and other damage.
