Lakeville Man Gets New Trial
(SOUTH BEND) - The Lakeville man convicted of murdering his twin brother, will get a new trial.
In 2005, Phillip Littler was sentenced to 45-years in prison for shooting and killing his brother, Neal. The Indiana Supreme Court overturned his conviction saying the twins' mother should have been allowed to testify.
Phillip maintains he acted in self-defense and says his mother could testify that his brother posed a serious threat to him.
His new trial will be held in Saint Joseph County.
