(PHOENIX) - Arizona Corrections officials are planning to send more inmates to private prisons in Oklahoma as its transfers to an Indiana prison where a riot erupted remain on hold.

They say about 900 inmates will be moved to the private great plains correctional facility located in Hinton, Oklahoma, starting in September.

Arizona had halted transfers of inmates to a privately operated prison in New Castle, Indiana, just before an April riot involving Arizona and Indiana prisoners.

Arizona and Indiana officials are reportedly discussing a possible renewed partnership.
