Helicopter Pilot Killed In Crash

(WINAMAC) - The pilot of a helicopter died Saturday in Pulaski County. The crash happened two miles northeast of Winamac.
The pilot is identified as 55 year-old James Turpstra of Demotte. Witnesses say the helicopter went down shortly after it starting making a lot of noise.
The aircraft was found crashed in an area of dense foliage, partially submerged in mud.
Turpstra was pronounced dead at the scene.
