State Trooper Laid To Rest
(WABASH) - More than two-thousand law enforcement officers are in Wabash this morning to attend the funeral of one of their own.
Indiana State Police Sergeant Mike Burns says it will be important for officers to lean on each other during the services for Master Trooper David Rich.
The 41-year-old husband and father of three was shot to death Thursday after he stopped to help a Michigan man he thought was stranded. The shooter then reloaded his shotgun and killed himself.
Services begin at 11:00AM inside the Honeywell Center gymnasium. Burial will follow in nearby Friends Cemetery.
