School Teacher Accused Of Sexual Misconduct

(GARY) - A Gary middle school gym teacher is accused of fondling a seventh grade special needs student in his basement.
Gary police say 48 year old John Wachel is charged with sexual misconduct with a minor based on the girl's story. Detectives say a witness saw Wachel grab the girl's buttocks and said, "I want some of that."
Wachel was a teacher at Tolleston Middle School.
Gary Community School Corporation officials say they plan to fire Wachel for his alleged actions.
