Murderer And Rapist Sentenced To Death

(EVANSVILLE) - A man convicted of raping and murdering a 15-year-old Dale, Indiana teenager six years ago, has been sentenced to death.
A judge ordered Roy Lee Ward to be put to death next June.
On Friday, Julie Payne held baby pictures as she told stories about her beloved daughter Stacy. Ward, in turn, showed no emotion.
The convict's execution will likely be delayed because death row inmates get an automatic appeal.
