Indiana Stockpiles Flu Vaccine
Last updated on Monday, June 11, 2007
(UNDATED) - 650,000 doses of antiviral medication is being stocked as Indiana guards against a possible flu pandemic.
The Department of Health and Human Services is coordinating the national effort.
States across the nation will stockpile enough Tamiflu and Relenza to reduce symptoms for about 20% of the population.
An additional national stockpile will back up those supplies and is designed to be available within 12 hours to any state needing them.
