(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis couple is in trouble for leaving their three young children inside an apartment while they reportedly went to get tattoos.

Leslie White and Jason Peterson are both charged with criminal confinement and neglect.

Police were called after the couple's 5-year-old son got out of his room with his 21-month-old sister.

André Peterson told police his mother nailed a sheet over the bedroom window and used tape and nails to keep André and Zoey in a bedroom. Police found a third child, 3-month-old Jala Peterson, in a cradle.
