(UNDATED) - Indiana State Police are warning parents of a new version of methamphetamine.

It's called "strawberry quick" and it's target audience is young children.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Noel Houze of the Connorsville district says meth cookers are adding strawberry flavoring and red food coloring to the drug. The result looks and tastes similar to the commercial candy, "pop rocks."

Officials believe the drug variation originated out of Nevada at the beginning of this year and is making its way across the country.
