Police Reopen A Cold Case

((NEW ALBANY) - Two teenage boys have discovered the body of a missing New Albany woman in a wooded area in Floyd County.

The body was taken to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's office in Louisville. Using dental records and tattoos, the body was identified as that of Brenda McLemore. McLemore had been missing since July of 1994. The autopsy determined McLemore died from blunt trauma to the head.

Police have reopened the case and are looking for anyone who may have information as to what happened to Brenda McLemore. A $1,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers in this case. Contact the nearest Indiana State Police Post.
